Your Life Purpose

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. "Matthew 28:19-20

Matthew 28:19-20 gives us the Great Commission. The counterpart of that is the Great Commandment: “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind . . . you shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matt. 22:37-39). These two passages give us the five basic tasks of a believer’s life.

Purpose #1 is Worship. You are created to love the Lord with all your heart. It doesn’t matter if you are alone, with a cell group or with 20,000 people. You are to worship the Lord your God and serve Him only (Matt. 4:10). Notice that worship comes before service. Learn to celebrate His presence and enjoy expressing your love to Him.

Purpose #2 is Ministry. You are created to minister to people. My wife, Sun, has a personal life motto: “To find a hurt and heal it, to find a need and meet it.” That, in a nutshell, is what ministry is all about. Without meaningful, active ministry, your spiritual life would just sit, soak and sour.

Purpose #3 is Evangelism. You exist to communicate the good news of the gospel. You are an ambassador for Christ and your life mission is to evangelize the world. You are to tell the whole world of Christ’s coming, His death on the cross, His resurrection and His promise to return a second time. Remember that this is the Great Commission, not the Great Suggestion!

Purpose #4 is Fellowship. You are called to be water baptized and be incorporated into the church as an active member. Baptism is not merely a symbol of salvation, it is a symbol of fellowship. As a Christian, you are called to belong, not just to believe. Don’t be a spectator of whatever God is doing in His house, be a full participator!

Purpose #5 is Discipleship. The Great Commission is not to make converts but to “make disciples.” You are not automatically “born again” into discipleship. You must make a conscious decision to really want to be discipled. That means you must make the effort to be taught the Word of God and be trained to skillfully serve Him.

I am sure you are happy to know that City Harvest Church’s mission statement is: “To build a church with a strong spiritual atmosphere of faith and purity, where every member is released into ministry, discipled in the Great Commandment, to obey the Great Commission.” That is the purpose of your life. That is the purpose of our church.

Hey peeps!

2009 is ending soon, in less than two weeks.
Most of us would probably be super busy at this time. There are so many fun happenings to look forward to, eg. Christmas! Wildx2 Wet + Appreciation, Zone appreciation (:
Many of us are overseas.
Many of us are working.

Maybe some of us wouldn't have the time to really quiet down and really spend time with God through prayer in our busy lives.
Some of us might feel that with so many things to do, so many matters to handle, stress is the only thing they're feeling right now. Some might also worry about what the next year holds in store for them.

But God is there for you!
W519's superpower lies in the Power of God.
Ps. 31:24 "Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD." and
Matt 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest."

Trust your problems, negative thoughts, and worries to God, and indeed He will give us rest (:
So that we can end this awesome year with a bang - and a light heart ;D

Hey! ladies and men out there!

I have been in Jams Church ministry for 5months and 2days already!
Hence it mean i should start sharing how i really feel while serving the ministry.
Just to let you know more about Jams Ministry.
Jams church is for those with is physically and metally disable people.
I feel their just like us, no much different but maybe their learning speed is not as fast as us, keep on repeating the Question(s) they ask.

Im serving in one of the busing in Jams(w01)
I get to know them even more while busing.
we will always have a mini chats session or a mini quizs session.
they all are so full w live and smiles always on their face, never fail to put smile on my face too!
Though, they are physically and metally disable in some way but they still have the positive mindset in life. That really encourage me.

Joining into the ministry, reaching others needs, learning how to handle them.
really test my patient but i enjoy what im doing now.

They just so simple..............so SMILES!
